On September 11, 2005 The Rev. Becky A. Hebert (pronounced a-bear) was installed as minister of St. John's Chapel United Church of Christ. She is an ordain minister with duel standing in the United Church of Christ and Christian Church (Disciples of Christ). Before being call to St. John's pulpit, Rev. Hebert served from 1992- 2005 as ecumenical campus minister at the University of Oklahoma. She also taught as an adjunct professor for the University. She also served as Program Director for the Oklahoma Commission for United Ministry in Higher Education.
Rev. Hebert worked in parish ministry for six year in New York City and Minneapolis. She graduated Cum Laude from Brite Divinity School, Texas Christian University and was a finalist in the "Outstanding Preacher" Recognition. Prior to going into ministry she was an interior designer.
Born in Sulphur, LA., Pastor Becky is married to Dean Wohlford, formerly of Freeport, IL She is the proud mother of two daughter, Yvonne and Rachel de Cordova. Yvonne is an art therapist in Secaucus, NJ. Rachel is an attorney in Houston, TX. She is an extraordinarily proud grandmother of Ashley White, born April 4, 2002.
